AIDS 2020 Virtual Program
This time will be a little different for many of us, to not be together and participating from afar. That being said, we will not spend 50% of the time running around a large conference venue, missing sessions that happening at the same time or crashing in our hotel room after a 12 hour day of conferencing. Instead we will have the majority of the sessions available on demand so we can watch them anytime of the day in whatever timezone you are in as well. Following their premier of the plenary and high level sessions they too will also be available for those who missed them to view.
ICW is very proud to highlight a few very special women living with HIV centered plenary sessions including Still We Rise: The power and resilience of young women living with HIV featuring Lucy Wanjiku Ndjega (Kenya) and U=U: A Global Perspective featuring Dayana Hernendez (Costa Rico). ICW will also host a special symposium An Overlooked Epedemic: Mental health and HIV featuring Lillian Mworeko (Uganda), Olena Stryzhak (Ukraine), Vanessa Johnson (US), and Rahayu Rahmat (Malaysia).
The Global Village and Youth Programme
It isn't a secret that everyone's favourite part of any AIDS Conference is spending time in the Global Village. It is a dynamic place that is free and accessible to everyone with special sessions, workshops, dance parties, arts events and much much more. ICW will have a booth in the Global Village as well as be partnering with the ATHENA network and many others once again to host the Women's Networking Zone. We are very excited for this space to remain open and accessible to everyone and hope that you can come say hello in our booth during our online information sessions.
